FCT18-WgR Asymmetrical On-Off Delay Relay

Advanced Timing Control with Independent On/Off Delays and Alternating Signals

Model: FCT18-WgR Series | DIN Rail Mount

Product Overview

The FCT18-WgR is an advanced asymmetrical on-off delay relay with control signal functionality. Designed for complex industrial timing applications, it features independent on-delay (T1) and off-delay (T2) settings with alternating signal response. Engineered for precision (±0.1%) and reliability across a wide voltage range (12-240V AC/DC), this relay provides unmatched flexibility for demanding automation systems.

Key Innovation: Independent T1 (on-delay) and T2 (off-delay) timing with alternating control signal response for complex automation sequences.

Key Technical Advantages

Asymmetrical Timing

Independent on-delay (T1) and off-delay (T2) settings for complex sequences.

Alternating Signal Logic

Automatic switching between on-delay and off-delay modes with each control signal.

Ultra-Compact Design

Space-saving 18mm width (90×18×64mm) for high-density control panels.

Exceptional Accuracy

Repeat accuracy ∆< ±0.5% and Time setting accuracy ∆< ±0.1%.

Universal Voltage Input

Operates with 12-240V AC/DC, compatible with global industrial power standards.

Industrial Robustness

Designed for -20°C to +60°C environments with EMI resistance.

High-Capacity Output

16A C/O contacts (1 or 2 sets) for industrial loads.

Button Setting & Locking

Precision time setting via tactile buttons with locking protection to prevent accidental changes.

Industrial Application Scenarios

The FCT18-WgR excels in scenarios requiring complex timing sequences with independent on and off delays. Below are key applications where its asymmetrical timing delivers superior performance:

Press Machine Control

Controls press operation with different approach (on-delay) and release (off-delay) times for complex forming processes.

Key Benefits:

  • Precision control for material forming
  • Independent T1/T2 settings for optimal press timing
  • Reduces cycle time while maintaining quality

Cooling System Sequencing

Manages staggered cooling fan activation (different on-delays) and shutdown (different off-delays) for thermal management.

Key Benefits:

  • Optimized thermal management
  • Reduces power surges during startup
  • Extends equipment lifespan

Conveyor Zone Control

Coordinates conveyor sections with different start delays (T1) and stop delays (T2) for material flow optimization.

Key Benefits:

  • Prevents material pileup at junctions
  • Reduces mechanical stress on conveyors
  • Improves overall production efficiency

Staged Lighting Systems

Controls lighting zones with different activation delays (T1) and deactivation delays (T2) for energy savings.

Key Benefits:

  • Energy optimization in large facilities
  • Creates lighting transition effects
  • Extends bulb life through soft cycling

Motor Sequencing

Manages multiple motors with different startup delays (T1) and cooldown periods (T2) in complex machinery.

Key Benefits:

  • Prevents power surges during startup
  • Ensures proper cooling sequence
  • Reduces mechanical stress on drive systems

Chemical Process Control

Controls valve sequencing with different open/close delays for precise chemical mixing and transfer.

Key Benefits:

  • Precise control of chemical reactions
  • Prevents cross-contamination between batches
  • Optimizes process cycle times

Timing Sequence Operation

First Signal (S)
On-delay (T1) starts
After T1
Output (R) closes
Second Signal (S)
Off-delay (T2) starts
After T2
Output (R) opens

Subsequent control signals alternate between on-delay and off-delay modes. During any timing sequence (T1 or T2), additional control signals are ignored to maintain timing integrity. This alternating pattern enables complex automation sequences with a single control signal input.

Timing Sequence

Timing Operation:

First control signal (S): On-delay starts, output (R) closes after T1

Second control signal (S): Off-delay starts, output (R) opens after T2

Subsequent control signals alternate between on-delay and off-delay

Control signals are invalid during active timing sequences
